Textiles Disposal

As of Nov 1, 2022, the Massachusetts DEP has banned all textiles from being disposed of as solid waste. So no more dumping in the trash compactor to go to a landfill.

We have now partnered with CMRK Inc. and Donation Centers of New England to add a new donation drop box at the Transfer Station where residents can place unneeded clothing, textiles, shoes & sneakers, and accessories. Please place your items in a bag before putting in the drop box.

If you have a lot of items, you can also schedule a free home pickup by calling 508-474-8966 or visiting their website at donatene.org. They will pick up furniture, household goods, books and more.
